Using templates

Templates are a quick way of inserting commonly used snippets.

For example, let’s say you had wanted a standard structure to your daily note, you could use a template for that.

Templates save time by reducing the amount of boilerplate text you need to write.

Accessing templates

You can find templates under Reflect’s preferences (which you can either access through system menus or pressing cmd ,).

Templates support our full editor so you can go to town with tags, backlinks, headers, lists - whatever you need.

Using templates

Templates are accessible under the slash menu. Simply type / and then the template name. Once the template is highlighted, press enter to insert the template.

Example templates

Templates we’ve found useful are:

  • Person template that inserts the #person tag and prompts for a name / company.
  • Company template that inserts the #company tag and prompts for a company name.
  • Daily template that inserts a structure for your daily note
